Whilst dining in McDonald’s I came across this sign: ‘Beggars and vagrants are not permitted to enter the store’. I had to take a picture of it as I couldn’t believe there is a sign excluding homeless people from eating or drinking in their restaurant. This was taken in Bethnal Green, London. Is this allowed?? What is their definition of a vagrant?
I have just googled the definition of vagrant: ‘A person without a settled home or regular work who wanders from place to place and lives by begging’. I should have been refused something to eat or drink then as I’m not in a settled home and I have no work. But because I’m female and I have a pram with me I’m accepted in McDonald’s. It’s a sign that makes no sense!
I saw it on my way out unfortunately otherwise I would not have eaten in there and I would have gone to KFC a few doors down.

Infuriating! I’ll be looking out for these from now on. Anyone else seen any?! Comment below if you have!
