My name is B, aged 39 and based in the Midlands, having grown up between London and the South Coast.

The majority of adult life; in-work homelessness experienced in a variety of industries, trying and working for a better quality of life.

On three occasions:  unemployment, emotional wellbeing needs, and circumstantial changes in hand with being evicted have had me in some particularly challenging situations.

Days after being discharged from hospital in 2021 under the Mental Health Act, a friend of mine suggested contacting a red homelessness organisation whose goal is to end homelessness, which was the first time I’d ever considered myself homeless.

Spent 18 months as a member and was able to join the member involvement team; through which the holistic support from the organisation has continued.

It is wonderful for me to be involved in this community project, so I thank you.
