In the cold, bustling arteries of our metropolises, hidden beneath the towering behemoths of concrete, resides a community obscured from public gaze – ‘the homeless’, as the pubic refers too often refers to them. Our tales, as veiled as they are varied, share one common binding plea – a cry for change. Oh no, not the change that jangles in the pocket, but a change in attitude from the throngs of people that sweep past with indifference and haste. It is imperative to acknowledge the shared humanity within each of us. Each ‘vagabond’, ‘tramp’, ‘wastrel’, ‘wasted addict’ and ‘bum’ is a human being just like every other human being. We are all deserving of compassion.
