If you haven’t read the previous report in the series you can find Part 13 here

I have just self-referred for Talking therapy and almost immediately received a response from them about a phone assessment which will be taking place soon. I have completed all the necessary assessments to start the sessions.

This assessment involves going through the problems I’m facing and what I’m looking for from counselling. I will then have my phone call which will last up to 45-60 minutes. During the phone call I will go through the scores that calculate how low your mood iIs and what counselling I will be offered. As there is a waiting list I don’t know when I will start the sessions.

The main thing is I’m going to be getting the support I need and as my GP has said I don’t need to go back on medication. I need to heal from this experience and learn from it. There is still no update about my belongings and my caseworker didn’t contact me on the 8th November as promised.

I reckon I must have scared them off by demanding that our meetings be recorded moving forward.

Depression has overwhelmed me this week and I haven’t been in the mood to do anything to be honest. I’m just blessed to have good people around to support me during these draining times. Next week I will be all over it again as I need to get my documents so I can start looking for somewhere else to live.
