I read the article and agree that the media depict homelessness and the homeless as a separate entity, void of any compassion.
I am fortunate to have a roof over my head and now have quite a comfortable lifestyle, but during my addiction I experienced the stress and anxiety of no fixed abode.
My question is: how can we make a difference to how society thinks and treats this massive problem, where do we start?
How do we reach those people that openly think it’s the homeless person’s fault or that they are all druggies and winos so therefore not worth a toss.
